Zachary E. Peterson

Mr. Peterson is a shareholder of the firm and heads Richards Brandt Miller Nelson's appellate practice group, representing the firm's clients before the Utah Court of Appeals, Utah Supreme Court, and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.  In his appellate practice, Mr. Peterson has argued in both of Utah's appellate courts and has drafted briefs on numerous issues, including the economic loss doctrine, the admission and exclusion of expert witnesses, the continuous negligent treatment doctrine, medical malpractice statute of limitations, and civil procedure under state law.  In his appellate practice, he has also represented clients in several appellate mediations in both state and federal court.  In addition to his appellate practice, Mr. Peterson maintains a diverse litigation practice which includes representing cients in commercial, employment, construction, products liability, and general business matters.  He was selected for inclusion in 2009 Mountain States Super Lawyers Rising Stars list.
