Tanya has been representing clients in transportation, employment and construction cases for almost 10 years.  She has successfully defended multi-million dollar personal injury cases involving commercial and common carriers, and has litigated commercial breach of contract and other claims.  Tanya has also served as a consultant to her transportation clients regarding U.S. Department of Transportation and other federal and state regulatory issues.

She has experience in all areas of personal injury and property damage defense, first-party auto issues, and coverage issues.  She has defended insurance companies, businesses, and individuals in various types of cases, including automobile accidents, slip and fall claims, job-site injuries, and coverage disputes.  Tanya has successfully represented clients in both state and federal courts; both in jury trials and on appeal and has resolved many cases by way of alternative dispute resolution and motion practice.

Tanya also has experience with a variety of family law matters.  She has handled marital dissolution cases involving significant property issues as well as child custody, adoption, and parental rights cases, both through litigation and alternative dispute resolution.  She is also experienced in negotiating and drafting prenuptial agreements.  Tanya is a state-certified Attorney Guardian ad Litem, licensed by the Utah Administrative Office of the Courts.

The emergence of social media impacts the areas of employment, contract and tort.  Tanya is well-versed in the impact of social media on these types of cases, and is available to advise clients and handle litigation involving complex social media issues.

Tanya writes and speaks frequently on the topics of civil procedure and evidence, and is a member of the Utah Supreme Court Rules of Evidence Advisory Committee.  She also appears regularly on KTVX Channel 4, the Salt Lake City ABC affiliate, as a legal analyst.  Tanya has been recognized by Utah Business Magazine as one of the Utah Legal Elite for 2012.
