Mark L. McCarty
Mr. McCarty is the Vice-President of Richards Brandt Miller Nelson. Mr. McCarty's area of expertise is employment law, including extensive experience in drafting, review and analysis of employment contracts and manuals, as well as litigation and appeals. His practice also involves complex business litigation, bankruptcy and corporate/commercial law.
Mr. McCarty has successfully litigated a wide range of high-profile employment lawsuits for defendants and plaintiffs. He has presented numerous employment seminars to prominent businesses in the state of Utah.
Mr. McCarty co-drafted a bill that was passed at the 2000 Legislature which prevents manufacturers of defective products from passing off their liability to purchasers and users of products.
Mr. Mccarty came to work at the law firm of Richards Brandt Miller Nelson in 1996 and became a shareholder in 1999. He was formerly employed as an Assistant Attorney General with the Utah Attorney General's Office, handling employment, bankruptcy and collections matters.
